Code of Business Conduct
We are committed to high standards of business conduct with a business ethics and integrity framework that promotes accountability and provides transparency to employees, business partners, neighbors and other interested stakeholders. All full-time Marathon Petroleum employees who support MPLX operations are asked to read and acknowledge the Code of Business Conduct each year. In addition, the Code of Business Conduct is implemented through training, communication and the administration of an Integrity Helpline, which provides an anonymous means of reporting suspected violations of the Code.
Operational Excellence Management System
MPLX is in scope of MPC’s Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS), which adheres to a “plan-do-check-act” framework to manage risks and opportunities, set targets and measure progress. Our OEMS is built on the foundation of globally recognized Health, Environment, Safety, Security, Product Quality (HESS&PQ) and sustainability industry standards RC14001® and ISO 9001 and best practices and lessons learned from our management systems journeys over the last several decades. MPLX organization’s management systems are third-party reviewed for alignment with RC14001® and other applicable industry management system standards. Meeting these commitments and improving our HESS&PQ and sustainability performance is a responsibility shared by everyone – including our employees, contractors and business partners.
